Rush-Taze Policy
What is Rush-Tazing?
Rush-Tazing is a common issue for law enforcement officers as it's a reoccurring accident or sometimes people don't know what the rule is, rush-tazing is where a law enforcement officer/agent uses their tazer to stun someone whilst the person is using a weapon or not in a position to be tazed.
Example of Rush-Tazing
An example of rush-tazing would be an LSPD officer tazing someone who is aiming/shooting a gun at them or someone else, causing them to be stunned and unable to shoot.
Why is this against the rules?
Rush-Tazing is against the rules because it does not give the person who is being rush-tazed a fair chance to roleplay. Although it is at most times done accidentally.
When can/can’t you taze someone?
- You MAY taze them if you are using/discharging the following weapons: - Uzi, Tec-9, and 9mm
- You MAY taze them if they're running with a gun drawn as long as they're NOT aiming.
- You MAY taze them if they're not firing/discharging their firearm.
- You MAY NOT taze in water, unless you have a boat next to them and RP'ly get them.
What if you accidentally taze someone?
If you accidentally rush-taze someone and are lucky enough to catch yourself before it’s too late, you should notify the person that it was a mistake. Once you do so, you are to uncuff them and allow them 5 seconds to either run or continue the gun fight.
Punishment
If someone is to break this policy they would receive a faction kick and be jailed for up to 45 minutes depending on the severity of the situation.
